DeJuan M. Tillman | President | Events & Hospitality Lead
DeJuan Tillman is a seasoned professional with over 13 years of corporate experience and a recent MBA graduate from American University. He earned his bachelor's degree in finance from Hampton University and currently serves as a Procurement Specialist for a leading vaccine company in Gaithersburg, Maryland. A dedicated member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, DeJuan lives out the fraternity’s principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service by mentoring inner-city youth and coaching baseball within the community. In addition to advancing his career, he has made strides in developing his own company, showcasing his commitment to growth and entrepreneurship.

Ian R. Davis | Vice President l Board Member | Scholarships and Social Action Co-Lead
Ian Davis has publicly served for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as a valuable member of Single Family Finance and Budget as well as Single Family Program & Development aspects of the Federal Housing Administration since 2010. Throughout his tenure at HUD, Ian has excelled in a systems security administrator and system compliance monitor roles for various mission essential FHA systems and now serves as the Director of FHA’s Single Family Insurance Operations Division. His regular tasks include providing customer service to Lenders and Servicers responsible for managing FHA Single Family home portfolios, analyzing financial data for federal reporting purposes, responding and resolving financial and IT audit requests, assisting with IT and financial system contract procurement endeavors, documenting internal business processes, and implementing project roadmaps to increase the effectiveness of FHA processes. Ian seeks to develop future generations by providing wealth in the form of knowledge, impact, and financial scholarship to the youth and underserved members of his community.

Tyrell O. Snape l Secretary | Board Member | Marketing & Communications Lead
Tyrell Snape, former Foundation President 2020 -2022, graduated from Hampton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. He has over 10 years of professional experience in Marketing, Project Management, and Federal Government field. Tyrell has managed teams to help government clients create and promote a new federal assistance and procurement website that over 6 million Americans will use daily.
In addition, he is a technical Program Manager for cloud services for government agencies like the FAA. Along with advancing his career, Tyrell is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.
Tyrell volunteers constantly to feed the homeless, clean up parks, and help repair his neighboring inner cities. To bring balance to his personal and professional life Tyrell lives by his fraternal motto “achievement in every field of human endeavor.”
As a member of SVGS, Tyrell plans to inspire the youth and teach them how to turn their visions of success into a reality.

George C. Morton | Treasurer l Board Member | Scholarship & Social Action Co-Lead
George Morton, Born in Washington D.C., is a graduate of Hampton University where he majored in Business Management. He has over 7 years of Fleet Management experience as well as Market Research, Sales, and Business Management experience. He is currently a Program Analyst for EL Hamm & Associates and is the head of the company’s contract for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). He services over 2000 employees with their Parking and Transit needs. He also is in charge of TSA HQ Fleet Motorpool where he manages reservations and maintenance of the vehicles. He is a proud member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. He volunteers with feeding the homeless in the local DC Area; as a member of SVGS he truly inspires to give back to the community and wants to provide brotherly support to those who need it.

Mawutor K. Adamaley | Board Member | Fundraising & Partnerships Lead
Mawutor Adamaley, hailing from Brooklyn Park, MN is a graduate of Hampton University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance. Mawutor has been in the auto industry for the last 8 years, specializing in sales and finance with Koons Tysons Toyota, the largest Toyota dealership on the East Coast. As an Assistant Finance Director, he manages relationships with over 30 banks and credit unions in the Central Atlantic Region financing over a million dollars in inventory while processing all Federal, State, and dealer related paperwork. With the knowledge he has gained, Mawutor does financial literacy classes for the youth to give them better understanding of credit and interpersonal skills in everyday life related to finances. Mawutor believes through hard work and patience that anything is possible; these are the principals he is looking to instill into the SVGS Foundation and to its various stakeholders.

Stephen D. Arthur | Board Member
Stephen Arthur is a Lobbyist/Consultant for a private lobbying firm that specializes in government relations and energy solutions. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Hampton University and is currently striving for a Master's degree in Federal Contract Management at Catholic University of America. Stephen holds a leadership position within Prince Hall Social Lodge #1 of Washington D.C. and is a member of Phi Beta Sigma, Fraternity, Inc.

Elliott F. Bell | Board Member l Social Responsibility and Partnerships
As a Raleigh, NC native and proud graduate of Hampton University, Elliott Bell believes that equity, whether social, economic, or emotional, is key to every part of life. He is a Fundraising & Development professional, focusing on impactful community-focused initiatives. These efforts primarily encompass educational equity, financial advocacy, career mentorship, and housing insecurity. Elliott works with municipalities, major donors, non-profits, grassroots initiatives, and community stakeholders to effectively communicate and execute the implementation of community sustaining programs. Prior to his current role, he worked as a development professional focused on major gifts and as a program director within higher education. Additionally, Elliott has prior experience as both an account director and client service professional, specializing in Trust & Retirement management, as well as small business operations.
A small business owner himself, Elliott firmly believes that, when fully equipped and uninhibited, people can change their environments, communities, and themselves for the better. Outside of his professional life, Elliott has a passion for the arts and agribusiness, with specific interests in modern-heritage visages and regenerative practices, respectively.

Travis E. Covington | Board Member | Technology Lead
Travis Covington is a Project Manager, supporting the Department of Veteran Affairs. He is a graduate of Hampton University, where he received his undergraduate degree in Marketing. Additionally, He has received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree, with a concentration in Business Analytics from American University. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc, and holds leadership positions with the Baltimore Alumni Chapter. He is also a member of Corinthian Lodge # 18 of Washington DC, Prince Hall Masons.

Edwin R. Jones | Board Member| Operations & Strategy Lead
Edwin Jones is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee where he attended McCallie, an all-boys private boarding and day school. Upon graduation, Edwin attended Hampton University, as a 4th generation Hamptonian, where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.
Edwin began his career with KPMG, LLP. as a management consultant in their Washington, DC office before relocating to the New York City office. He has spent 10+ years specializing in Customer Experience (CX) and Customer Service transformation, where he has helped many Fortune 500 organizations become more customer-centric and operationally efficient.
Currently, Edwin resides in Phoenix, AZ with his fiancé, Sarahi, and their lovable labradoodle named “Luke Skybarker”.
“Growing up in a Hampton family and the son of an educator, I’ve always valued prioritizing education. Serving on the SVGS Foundation Board has allowed me to extend this mindset and provide opportunities to the next generation of deserving young scholars”.

Christian S. C. Williams | Board Member
Christian S. Williams is a Hampton university Alumni graduating with the class of 2011. Post-graduation he entered in the field of implementation and is now a project manager for a HR and payroll software company. A member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity Inc. Christian is a active husband and father of 2 residing in Atlanta GA. Christian is also a mentor to teen youth in the Atlanta area. Christian has contributed to many divisions of SVGS with his focus of contribution being with social media as well as celebrity partnership outreach. Christin looks forward to continuing to service the foundation in multiple ways.

Mark A. Williams | Board Member
Mark A. Williams is the author of The Brand Builder Book, and an award-winning digital marketing strategy consultant. He’s been featured in 2017 Who’s Who in Black Atlanta, the Chairmen of Social Events for the Emerging 100 of Atlanta, and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. Throughout his career he has lead countless marketing projects as the Founder of Brigital; a Digital Brand Marketing Manager with Newell Brands (Rubbermaid) and a Digital Marketing and Campaign Management Consultant with Accenture. Some of those projects include digital marketing strategies for some of the world’s most recognizable domestic and global brands; including L'Oreal Cosmetics, AstraZeneca, Calphalon, US Auto Sales, Contigo, Boys and Girls Club of America, Cox Communications, Sharpie, Elmer's Glue, Parker Pen and rOtring.
